Rod Bingaman and Maura Shea are Boston-area filmmakers teaching as lecturers at Penn State University in Film & Video. Both are award-winning short filmmakers who have teamed up on the post-production of a number of independent feature films since their marriage back in 1992. Bingaman has likewise directed shorts, television commercials and industrial films; while Shea has contributed to a number of PBS documentaries as a sound designer and editor. Their credits include The Brief History of Time; The Uprising of 1934; Pitstop; Seaside Murders; Where Angels Dance; Jane Street; Where the Rivers Flow North; Malcolm X: Make It Plain; Frederick Douglass: The Lion That Made Historyand many others.
